Following our amazing weekend in February earlier this year, we're delighted to be inviting Maxi back to Exeter, and look forward to welcoming Claudia for the first time!
Join us for two days of Lindy Hop classes on Saturday and Sunday the 11th-12th October 2025, with an evening social on Saturday 11th too!
Classes on Saturday will be suitable for dancers at Improver/Intermediate level, and Sunday for those at Advanced level.

Level Descriptions
Improver/Intermediate: You regularly attend Lindy Hop classes and are comfortable leading or following a dance. You know 6 and 8 count basics and can mix them on the social dance floor, comfortably social dancing a whole song in Lindy Hop. You have experience and are familiar with most of the fundamental core moves of Lindy Hop but would like to work on lead and follow frame and technique.
Advanced: You understand lead and follow technique, can dance at different tempos and understand musical phrasing. You are confident with all the key moves such as swing outs, Lindy turns, circle, Texas Tommy and tandem Charleston etc…and are comfortable on the social dance floor with a variety of partners, demonstrating good technique. It is not about how long you have been dancing, but how well you are able to pick up and execute more complicated material.
Our Teachers
Maxi is an experienced international teacher and has been a passionate promoter of Lindy Hop in Argentina and Europe since 1998. He has trained as a dancer in the United States and Sweden with Lindy Hop legends such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller and Dawn Hampton. Alongside running his studio in Malaga, Maxi is known across the scene for teaching classes, workshops and shows at different swing festivals and events.
Claudia and Maxi have been part of the Swing scene in Argentina since its origins in the late 90s, both being fervent promoters of Traditional Jazz culture, researching its history and its development today. Since 2017 they have crossed paths to expand and share their art and passion for dancing around the world. In addition to their love to dance and movement in community, they have a strong dedication for teaching with more than 20 years of experience.
Venues
Our venue for the classes on both days is Exminster Victory Hall (EX6 8DF). Our Saturday evening social is at Southernhay Church Hall, Exeter (EX1 1GF).
